FREE Sennelier Inks Class with artist Eve Skylar - Saturday June 14th, 1-3pm


Come join Eve Skylar, San Francisco-based concept artist and painter working in the animation industry, for a FREE demo class on "Drawing and Painting With Ink on Fabriano Paper". The class is open to all levels and is geared towards illustrators and artists interested in working with ink. The class will be parts: lecture, demo, and hands-on trial station. We will cover general setup, how to prepare surfaces, approaches to line quality, drawing, inking techniques, and painting with a brush. Learn how to sketch directly with ink or take an illustration through the process of rough drawing to final inking. Materials covered in class: Inks, Fabriano paper, Kolinsky brush #8404.

FREE Jacquard Products Demo - Friday May 16th - 1pm

Jacquard makes fantastic products geared towards artists and crafters interested in working on fabrics. This FREE demo will include a look at their Textile Color and Fluorescent paints (colorfast on natural or synthetic fabrics!). We'll also be featuring the Lumiere paints with its stunning assortment of metallic and pearlescent colors and the Neopaque colors meant for dark fabrics.

Saturday April 5th - FREE Pentel Brush Pen Demo with Chris Koehler 1-3pm


California College of The Arts Faculty member Chris Koehler will be presenting a Pentel Brush Pen demo at ARCH. Join us to learn tips and techniques for using this popular product in a variety of ways. For more about Chris, visit his website.



Chris Koehler is an artist and illustrator working out of San Francisco. His work has appeared in Popular Science, Utne Reader, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Wired, The Boston Globe, OnEarth Magazine, Stanford Magazine, and SF Weekly, among others. Chris also teaches in the illustration department at California College of the Arts and regularly shows in galleries.
